On Monday 25 November 2019, Prostate Scotland, in association with Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow, will be hosting a fundraising event in The Banqueting Chamber of The City Chambers, Glasgow at 6.15 for 6.45pm. Over the last few years Prostate Scotland has been the nominated charity of The Grand Lodge of Scotland. So far, the Freemasons of Scotland have raised over £464k for this charity, which is a wonderful achievement. This fundraising effort will continue into 2020 when it is envisaged that this sum will be substantially increased.
We are delighted that the Grand Master Mason will honour us with his presence at the event. Invitations have been extended to the Lord Provost, various Civic Representatives and Members of the Emergency Services and their presence along with Brethren, their families and the general public will greatly enhance the occasion.
Prostate Scotland has arranged for a medical clinician to give a short talk about this medical condition. The principal feature of the evening will be a Lecture delivered by Brother Moises Gomez, a former fire fighter from New Jersey, who was an early attendant at the site of the Twin Towers, following the attack by terrorists. He has delivered this Lecture entitled ‘Remembrance, my 9/11 Experience’ on a number of occasions and it has been described as simultaneously entertaining, harrowing and enlightening.
Please do not contact the PGL office regarding this event as staff there are not dealing with it. Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated.
