Brethren I would like to take this opportunity to first of all to apologise for my lack of attendance at meetings across the province recently , this is due to the fact I am still struggling with my hip, although I am supposed to go into the Royal on the 27th of this month, here’s hoping that fixes the problem but its not all bad news as I am sending this email sitting in a pub in Corfu waiting on Liverpool game to start, pint of Mythos in hand and its  absolutely roasting outside so I am still keeping in touch but I do hope to be back out and about once I am discharged from the hospital but can I just remind everyone that if you have any queries or problems to contact the office or your rep and they will help in any way they can. I hope everyone is having a very restful recess (although I do know a few meetings are going on through this period and I wish these lodges every success) and also I hope everyone has a very good holiday whenever you may take it.

It wont be to long before we are all back into the swing of things again, so I hope we all have a very good return to business and it wont be to long before I see you all out and about once more.

The Provincial Grand Master, Brother James C. Peddie and Brother Andrew Mushet, Depute Provincial Grand Master present a cheque  to GLASGOW’S GOLDEN GENERATION (formally Glasgow’s Old Peoples Welfare ) on behalf of the Freemasons of Glasgow in the City Chambers.  This was a second such cheque, the Province  having  kick started an appeal by the organisation for a new minibus last year.

The new intrants meeting was held on Sunday 25th February 2018 in the premises of Lodge Alexandra 1282 15 Wood Street, Dennistoun, Glasgow G31, an excellent turnout of new intrants were welcomed to the event by SPGM Bro. Alan Cuthill, who explained that the reason for this meeting was not only for everyone to get to know each other but to let all the new intrants know that Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow were at hand at any time should they require any help.

We then heard from a new intrant from Partick St Marys Lodge 117 Bro. Scott Small who told us that as a former ex military man he found freemasonry for him gave him the same sense of belonging and the same structure and more importantly the same values that the military had instilled in him and he hoped he could continue to cultivate those values.

The Immediate Past Provincial Grand Master, Bro. Alistair Henderson, accompanied by Bros. John CMcLean, PSPGM, Hon DPGM, James McMillan and William Newlands, SPGMs, Allan Taylor, PSPGW, and Malcolm Murray, PGStd., attended the Installation of Office-Bearers of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Kilwinning on Tuesday 20 February 2018.
